Men’s Cross Country Finishes Sixth At CACC Championship, Blekis Eagles’ Top Female Finisher

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Post University cross country teams competed in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship on Sunday, Oct. 27. The men finished in sixth place overall, the best finish in school history. Senior Veronica Blekis (Plymouth, Conn.) was the top female finisher for Post.
 
Freshman John Ducham (Waterbury, Conn.) completed the five-mile course in a time of 28:37 and placed 18th overall. Freshman Matthew Satkowski II (Southbury, Conn.) placed 39th, clocking in a 30:58. Freshman William Robinson (Danbury, Conn.) finished in 31:07 and places 41st.
 
On the women's side, Blekis placed 24th overall, completing the two-mile course in 21:54. Sophomore Jessica Lavelle (Thurmont, Md.) clocked in at 25:26 and placed 71st.
 
The Eagles have one more race this season as they will compete in the NCAA East Regional on Sunday, Nov. 10. The race goes off at noon at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
