BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Post University women's volleyball team fell on the road to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival Concordia 3-2 Friday night. The set scores were 23-25, 25-18, 13-25, 25-14, 6-15. Senior

Kerrin Kallmann (Lake Grove, N.Y.) combined for 25 kills for the Eagles.

Morgan Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) added nine kills, 14 digs and five assists. Fellow freshman
Nicole Brown (Queens, N.Y.) added nine kills, four digs and three block assists.
The Eagles and Clippers were neck and neck throughout the first set. Concordia held the lead 5-3 early, but Post went on a 5-2 run to regain the lead. Down 20-16, two kills by Brown helped Post to tie it back up at 23 apiece. Concordia took the final two points however.
Post had full control of the second set and kept the pressure on. The Eagles jumped out front 4-1 to start the set and would extend the lead to eight at 12-4 after a Griffin kill. The closest Concordia came in the second set was a six point deficit with the score 13-7. Post then used a 5-2 run to gain its largest lead (nine) at 18-9. A kill by Kallmann capped off the set, and the Eagles cruised to take it 25-18.
Despite taking an early lead in the third set, the Eagles fell apart, and the Clippers took full advantage. Post had leads of 4-3, 8-5 and 10-8 before suddenly collapsing. The Eagles were only down by two at 15-13, but the Clippers scored 10 straight points to take the set.
Again Post jumped out to a big lead in the fourth set, and this time the Eagles finished strong. Behind two kills and a service ace from Kallmann, Post took a commanding 7-2 lead to open up the set, forcing a Concordia timeout. The Eagles would not let up, and an ace by Wilman capped an 8-2 run, giving Post a 15-5 lead. Wilman closed out the set with a kill, forcing a fifth and final set.
Concordia took control early on in the final set with a 6-2 lead. With the Eagles trailing 9-5, the Clippers ended the match on a 6-1 run to win the set 15-6.
It marked the sixth straight loss for the Eagles, who fall to 4-18 overall and 4-9 in the conference. Junior
Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia) had 38 assists, 16 digs and three kills for Post.
Leina Braga led the Clippers with a double-double, posting 14 kills and 12 digs. It was just the second win of the season for Concordia.
Post looks to bounce back on Saturday, Oct. 26 against Wilmington at 1 p.m. at the Drubner Center.
