Coming off its best shooting performance of the season, the Post University women's basketball team looks to keep the momentum going as it travels to take on Philadelphia in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup. The Eagles have not defeated the Rams in any of the nine matchups between the two.

The Eagles hit a season-high 15 shots from behind the arc on their way to a victory over Bloomfield on Thursday night. Post withstood a second-half rally by the Deacons to earn their sixth conference victory of the season. Junior
Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) was 6-for-8 from distance on her way to a season-high 29 points. Graduate student
Monique Chance (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded her third consecutive double-double and fifth of the season with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
The Eagles stormed out to a 17-4 lead by the 13:38 mark of the first as Latham, junior
Raven Wright-James (Middletown, Conn.), and sophomore
Jacquelynne Pugh (Grahamsville, N.Y.) scored from distance to build the advantage. Bloomfield closed the deficit to 21-12 with 10:34 remaining, but could not manage to get closer. The hot outside shooting continued for Post as it built the lead up to as many as 22 in the first half.
Bloomfield would not lay down easily as it staged a 23-4 run over the next 7:26 to pull within 10 at 68-58 with just under eight minutes to play. Tierra Scott had three steals and eight points over the stretch for the Deacons. Post stole the momentum back, freshman Haley Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) and Latham hit from distance on the Eagles next two possessions to put the game out of reach.
SERIES HISTORY:
Post has never defeated Philadelphia in its Division II history and is 0-9 overall. The Eagles fell by a series-low six points at 79-73 last year in Waterbury. The Rams have defeated Post by double-digits in each of the matchups at the Gallagher Center.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
Philadelphia comes into the contest at a record of 6-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play. The Rams split their last four outings and notched victories over Nyack and East Stroudsburg. They are tough defenders on the perimeter, holding their opponents to a 26.2 shooting percentage from deep, good for second in the CACC. Philadelphia is also in the top-5 in three-point percentage (31.0), assists (13.5) and free-throw attempts (23.3). The Rams are led by freshman forward Tori Arnao who leads the conference and is eighth in the nation with 11.3 rebounds per game. She also leads the team with 10.7 points per game and has been named CACC Rookie of the Week in both the previous two weeks.

Post averages 7.5 three-pointers made per game to lead the CACC and is second with a 32.7 shooting percentage from deep. The Eagles are the second-highest scoring team in the conference at 67.1 points per game.

Jessica Webber is tied for fourth at 36.4%. Latham is also fifth in scoring at 16.9 points per contest.

The Eagles have been knocking down shots from behind the arc all season. In all seven victories this season, Post has taken over 20 shots from distance and made at least seven. The Eagles are the top three-point shooting team in the conference at 6.9 made per game. Against Bloomfield on Jan. 3, they made a season-high 15 from distance on 50.0% shooting.
DISHING OUT THE ASSISTS
Junior
Fernanda Mansilla has been putting her teammates in position to score all season. She has 74 total assists on the season and leads the CACC and is eighth in the nation with 5.7 assists per contest. Against Chestnut Hill on Dec. 8, Mansilla dished out 11 assists, the highest total by an Eagle since the 2004-05 season.

With at team-leading 124 rebounds this season,
Monique Chance has moved into second place in Post history for career rebounds. Chance sits at 680 boards for her career. Tadj Williams who played from 2003-06 is first with 891 career rebounds.
COUNTDOWN TO 1,000 POINTS
Aubrey Latham comes into the week with 948 career points and is just 52 points away from joining the 1,000-point club. Latham has averaged 18.0 points per game against the Rams in two career games. She tallied her highest output with 22 in a 79-73 defeat at home.
LONGEST IN PROGRAM HISTORY
The Eagles posted their longest conference winning streak in program history as they won nine straight CACC games from Feb. 11-Dec. 19, 2012. Post closed out the 2011-12 season with four consecutive conference wins. The Eagles began 2012-13 with their best-ever CACC start with five straight victories. Post defeated Chestnut Hill, Wilmington, and Nyack twice during the streak. Felician ended the stretch with a 68-66 win over Post on Dec. 19.
PRESEASON PROGNOSTICATIONS
Post was selected to finish fifth in the North Division of the CACC in the preseason poll announced on Nov. 12. The Eagles received 35 total points in the poll. Caldwell garnered 89 points and 11 first place votes and was selected as the North Division favorite. Defending conference champion, Holy Family, earned 95 points and 11 first place votes and was tabbed as the South Division favorite.

Aubrey Latham captains for the 2012-13 season. Brooks is one of the Eagles' top shooters. She led the team and was second in the conference with a 38.9 shooting percentage from behind the arc. Chance was 13th in NCAA Division II with 11.3 rebounds per game and named CACC Honorable Mention in 2011-12. Latham led the Eagles in scoring in 2011-12, averaging 15.5 points per game. She comes into the season just 238 points away from 1,000 for her career.
