BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – A 16-0 run over the final 4:15 proved to be the difference as the Post University women's basketball team fell at Concordia 84-70 on Tuesday night in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup. Junior Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) led all scorers with 21 points on the night to become the fifth member of the Eagles' 1,000-point club.

Latham reached the milestone with a layup at the 8:10 mark of the first half that closed the deficit to 23-20 and sparked an 11-0 run by the Eagles. She also added six rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Freshman Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) recorded her fourth-consecutive double-digit scoring effort with 11 points and made three from distance on the night. Junior Fernanda Mansilla (Ancud, Chile) grabbed a team-high nine boards.

A three-pointer by Griffin put the Eagles ahead 70-68 with 4:15 remaining in the game, but Post would not score again. Concordia tied the game minutes later on two free-throws by Mariah Berry and scored 16 straight to close out the game. The Clippers were 9-for-13 from the foul line over the final 4:15.

Post (8-9, 7-4 CACC) led throughout most of the second half. Mansilla hit from distance with 12:14 left to give the Eagles their largest lead of the night at 54-47. After Concordia closed the gap to two, a three by Griffin and layup by sophomore Jacquelynne Pugh (Grahamsville, N.Y) put Post ahead 59-52 at the 9:02 mark.

The Eagles opened the game on a 7-0 run capped off on a three-pointer by junior Raven Wright-James (Middletown, Conn.) at 16:55. Concordia nailed three from distance as part of a 10-0 stretch to pull ahead 10-7 with 15:46 remaining in the first.

Consecutive long balls by Latham, Wright-James, and junior Jessica Webber (Naugatuck, Conn.) gave Post a 29-23 advantage with 6:30 left in the half. The Clippers answered with a 12-5 run to go ahead 35-34 at the 2:22 mark. Graduate student Monique Chance (Brooklyn, N.Y.) hit a free throw to tie the game 35-35 at the intermission.
