Final Results
RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – The Eagles golf team placed third out of 17 schools at the Dowling Fall Shootout on Sept. 21-22 at Long Island National Golf Club in Riverhead, N.Y. Post shot 618 (308-310) over the weekend and finished six strokes behind the leaders, who were at 612.
Freshman Michele Forgione (Lincolnshire, England) sat in seventh place after an opening round 73. He carded a 79 in the final round for a total of 152 to lead the Eagles. Senior
Thomas Rees (Cardiff, Wales) shot a 74 on Saturday and finished at 154 (80-74).
Junior
Ross Earnshaw (York, England) carded a 155 (78-77). Freshman
Daniel Bradbury (Liverpool, England) came in a 157 (77-80). Sophomore
Jay Gerrick (London, England) shot a 177 (82-95).
The Eagles were tied for third with Concordia after 18 holes. Dowling and Adelphi tied atop the leaderboard at 612. Concordia (619) and Farmingdale State (625) rounded out the top five. Adelphi's Ryan Snouffer was the top individual at 143 (71-72).
Post will be playing in the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate on Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at Sea Trail Country Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
