Rees Finishes First, Eagles Second At Northeast Intercollegiate

BERLIN, Conn. – The Post University golf team finished second overall with a 618 at the Northeast Intercollegiate Golf Championship on Monday at Timberlin Country Club in Berlin, Conn. Senior Thomas Rees (Cardiff, Wales) finished first overall with a 148 (73-75).
 
Freshman Michele Fiogione (Lincolnshire, England) was tied for fourth with a 152 (75-77). Sophomore Anthony McNamara (Beacon Falls, Conn.) carded a 158 (80-78) and finished in a tie for 18th.
 
Frshman Daniel Bradbury (Liverpool, England) shot a 78 in the second round and a 160 (82-78) overall to finish in a tie for 23rd. Freshman Patrick Hartnett (Chicago, Ill.)  finished in a tie for 43rd at 168 (83-85).
 
UMass-Lowell finished first overall with a team score of 611. Dowling's Kurt Brey (151), UMass-Lowell's Harry Hulme (151), and Goldey-Beacom's Patrick McRae (152) rounded out the top five.
 
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 21 in the Dowling Fall Shootout at Long Island National Country Club in Riverhead, N.Y.
