Thomas Rees (Cardiff, Wales) and freshman
Daniel Bradbury (Liverpool, England) both sit in the top-10 after Monday's opening round at the Century Link Intercollegiate at Lane Tree Country Club in Goldsboro, N.C.
Rees carded a one-over 73 in his first round of the season and is four shots behind the leader. Bradbury posted a strong first round in his first career tournament with a two-over 74 and is tied for sixth.
Junior captain
Ross Earnshaw (York, England) is currently tied for 15
th after he shot a 76. Sophomore
Jay Gerrick (London, England) carded a 77 and sits in a tie for 22
nd. Freshman Michael Fiogione (Lincolnshire, England) is tied for 31
st after an opening-round 79.
Daniel Claytor of tournament host Barton is the first-round leader after he shot a three-under 69. The Century Link Intercollegiate is contested as an individual tournament with no team scores.
Round two tees off at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning from the 10
th hole.
