Women 24th, Men 25th At NCAA Division II East Regional

Gaertner and Docimo Top Finishers For Men and Women



NASHUA, N.H. – The Post University men's and women's cross country teams ran their final meet of the season on Sunday at the NCAA Division II East Regional at Mines Falls Park in Nashua, N.H. The men finished 25th out of 27 schools on the 10k course, while the women were 24th out of 28 on the 6k course.
 
The Eagles top men's finisher was freshman Rob Gaertner (Wantagh, N.Y.) after clocking 34:37.5 to finish in 116th out of 188 runners. Senior Brianna Docimo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) finished 99th out of 192 at 24:53.7.
 
Sophomore Jesse Perez (Waterbury, Conn.) clocked a 35:21.5 to place 132nd. Freshman Justin Fluker (Meriden, Conn.) was 144th after running the course in 36:12.2. Junior Wesley Sanival (Norwalk, Conn.) finished 169th at 39:02.2.
 
Junior Veronica Blekis (Plymouth, Conn.) ran a time of 25:07.6 to place in 108th. Sophomore Amber Reed (Bristol, Conn.) clocked a time of 27:03.2 and finished in 154th. Freshman Jessica Lavelle (Thurmont, Md.) placed in 165th with a time of 27:59.2
 
Jeff Veiga of UMass-Lowell was the top men's finisher at 28:53.7. Jeptui Cherutich of American International ran the course in 21:12.0 and was the top women's finisher. American International and Stonehill were the top men's and women's team respectively.
