The Post University women's basketball team opens up Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play on Wednesday night against Nyack. The Eagles are riding a four-game winning streak in CACC play but are still in search of their first victory on the young season.

Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) leads Post with 14.0 points per game and a shooting percentage of .524 (11-for-21). Graduate student
Monique Chance (Brooklyn, Conn.) has grabbed 4.5 rebounds per game, while junior
Fernanda Mansilla (Ancud, Chile) has dished out 4.0 assists per game.
Nyack (0-2) dropped two games at the St. Anselm Tournament this past weekend to open its season. The Warriors fell to Franklin Pierce, 81-54, on Nov. 9 and St. Anselm, 55-40, on Nov. 10. Senior guard Khamari Tellis leads Nyack with 11.0 points per game. The Warriors earned 20 points and were selected seventh in the CACC North Division in the preseason poll.

The Eagles fell to Queens College in the Clarion LaGuardia Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 10. Post was led by sophomore
Jacquelynne Pugh (Grahamsville, N.Y.) and freshman
Toshina Jessamy (Hartford, Conn.) who each scored nine points.
Pugh hit her first two shots from distance to give Post an early 6-2 advantage at the 18:33 mark of the first. She tacked on another one at 15:23 to cut the Eagles deficit to 10-9. Bria Jackson scored eight straight points as part of an 18-3 run by Queens to extend the advantage to 59-34 at the 7:06 mark. Junior
Jessica Webber (Naugatuck, Conn.) capped off a 10-1 run by the Eagles with a free throw off a made layup to pull Post within 16 at 60-44 with 2:23 left.
The Eagles caused 17 turnovers on the afternoon and scored 13 points off giveaways from the Knights. The bench for Post outscored the Queens reserves 26-19.

PRESEASON PROGNOSTICATIONS
Post was selected to finish fifth in the North Division of the CACC in the preseason poll announced on Nov. 12. The Eagles received 35 total points in the poll. Caldwell garnered 89 points and 11 first place votes and was selected as the North Division favorite. Defending conference champion, Holy Family, earned 95 points and 11 first place votes and was tabbed as the South Division favorite.
DOUBLE-DIGITS FOR LATHAM
Aubrey Latham has posted double-digit scoring efforts in 15 of the Eagles' last 18 games. She scored a career-high 29 points during the stretch on Jan. 24 against Concordia. Latham tallied seven points her last time out at Queens College.

Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) captains for the 2012-13 season. Brooks is one of the Eagles' top shooters. She led the team and was second in the conference with a 38.9 shooting percentage from behind the arc. Chance was 13th in NCAA Division II with 11.3 rebounds per game and named CACC Honorable Mention in 2011-12. Latham led the Eagles in scoring in 2011-12, averaging 15.5 points per game. She comes into the season just 238 points away from 1,000 for her career.
