The Post University men's basketball team will continue its four-game road trip to begin the season when it travels to Nyack for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Wednesday night. The Eagles enter the conference opener off a 79-78 overtime win against Queens to round out competition at the Molloy Tip-Off Tournament.
Nyack (0-2) enters the mid-week matchup in search of its first victory during the 2012-13 season. The Warriors hosted Pace and NYIT last weekend in a tournament and dropped both contests. Nyack fell 77-54 in its season opener, before it lost to NYIT 82-69.

Jerry Cummings (Queens, N.Y.), the Post University men's basketball team earned a 79-78 overtime victory against Queens on Saturday afternoon to complete play at the Molloy Tip-Off Tournament. In the win Cummings compiled 23 points and 10 rebounds to pace four Eagles in double figures.
Cummings was joined in double figures by senior
Jake Wilcox (Kent, Wash.) and junior
Effrin Ellison (Waterbury, Conn.) who scored 13 points apiece. Junior
Devin Willis (Seattle, Wash.) added 10 points. In addition to his 13 points, Wilcox added four assists, three steals and senior
Sarunas Jackson (Inland Empire, Calif.) pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and four blocks.
First Career Double-Double:
Cummings tallied his first career double-double in Post's 79-78 overtime victory behind 23 points and 10 rebounds. In his first two contests this season, he has pulled down 10 boards in each game. For his efforts last week, Cummings was given a CACC Honorable Mention.

Post is 11-7 all-time against Nyack and has won the last four meetings between the two teams. The Eagles sit at 5-4 in contests played at Bowman Gymnasium.

Scouting the Warriors:
Nyack enters its CACC opener in search of its first win of the 2012-13 season. The Warriors were tabbed to finish seventh in the CACC North Division when the conference announced its preseason poll on Monday afternoon. Kahlid Samuels leads the Warriors with 14.5 points per game on 6-for-11 shooting from the field. Freshman Frank Martin chips in 10 points per game and seven rebounds. The Warriors are led by first year head coach Jason Crafton.

James Lee erupted for a career-high 28 points as the Eagles earned an 86-71 CACC victory over Nyack on Tuesday night at the Drubner Center. In his final home game of his collegiate career, Lee tallied the most points by any Post player this season.
Lee shot 12-for-18 from the field and 4-for-4 from the foul line. He was one of three Eagles who grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.
Jerry Cummings added seven points and seven rebounds.
Zach Krischer and
Jake Wilcox added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Sharp Shooter:
Last season,
Zach Krischer led the CACC in three-point field goal percentage with a mark of 48.2. In fact his percentage from distance was better than his overall field goal percentage (47.7). Nationally, Krischer sat 82
nd in three-point field goals made per game with an average of 2.39.
Internationally Known:
Post men's basketball head coach
Al Sokaitis was named the Tanzania national head coach of the men's and women's basketball programs on Aug. 29. The goal is for the country to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
Preseason Prognostications:
The Eagles were tabbed to finish third in the North Division of the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released on Monday, Nov. 12. Post totaled 59 points and one first place vote from the league's 13 head coaches. Sokaitis' team was picked behind Bloomfield and Dominican in the North Division.
On The Horizon:
Post will travel to LIU Post for a non-conference tilt on Saturday, Nov. 17. Game time is set for 3 p.m. The Pioneers are the two-time defending ECC champions, and were picked to repeat as conference champs. They are led by ECC Preseason Player of the Year Tobin Carberry.
