PREVIEW: Women's Soccer To Host Felician On Senior Day Tuesday Afternoon

The Post University women's soccer team will round out the 2012 season on Tuesday afternoon when it hosts Felician in a CACC contest at LaMoy Field. Prior to the match, the Eagles will honor the program's three seniors: Sara Cramer, Brianna Docimo and Sabrina Sinopoli.
 
GAME NOTES:
Last Time Out: Holy Family 4, Post 3
Holy Family's Megan Tole scored the game-winning goal with 4:33 remaining in the first overtime stanza to lift the host Tigers past the Post University women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon. Senior Sabrina Sinopoli scored twice for the Eagles and classmate Sara Cramer added two assists in the CACC match at Tigers Field.
 
Tole scored the game-tying goal in the 79th minute and the game-winner in the 96th minute to help the Tigers earn their sixth win of the year. The sudden victory tally came off a Melissa Benson free kick that found the head of Tole at the far post to give Holy Family (6-10, 6-5 CACC) the win.
 
Series History With Felician:
Post is 1-8-1 all-time against Felician and 0-3-1 at home. The Eagles picked up their lone home point in the series on Sept. 28, 2005, after a 2-2 draw.

Scouting The Golden Falcons:
Felician is led by Alysia Arcona who has scored 11 goals and 25 points this season. Macki Groves adds five goals to the Golden Falcons' attack. The team enters the match tied for eighth place in the conference standings with 13 points.
 
Scoring Surplus:
During its three-game homestand from Sept. 17-25, the Eagles outscored the opposition 12-5 in three matches. The 12 goals doubled the Eagles' output from their first six matches combined. To date, Post has tallied 20 goals this season and has received hat tricks from Tessa Dunster and Renel Dennis.
 
Statistically Speaking:
On the national scene, Dennis is ranked 24th in goals per game (0.8), 22nd in total goals (12), 27th in points per game (1.87), and 26th in total points (28). Sabrina Sinopoli is 18th in total assists (eight) and 21st in assists per game (0.53).
 
Humble Hosts:
Post University and the men's and women's soccer programs will serve as the host of the 2012 CACC Men's and Women's Soccer Championships. The Waterbury-based school will host the semifinals and championship games on Nov. 1-3. The women's semifinals will be played at Municipal Stadium and the men's semis will be contested at LaMoy Field.
