WATERBURY, Conn (September 27, 2011) Post University women's soccer player Elin Nyman and volleyball player Belinda Snider have been named Co-Female Post University Athletes of the Week. Sprint Football player Kyle Lagasse has earned Male Athlete of the Week Honors.

Nyman had an outstanding week in her first three games as an Eagle by scoring five goals. She scored two goals each in the games against Felician and Chestnut Hill along with one goal against Molloy.  

Snider led the Eagles in their first two win this season after averaging 3.75 kills per game with a .312 attack percentage. Snider added 0.92 digs per set through three games. She had 18 kills in a win over Mercy and 17 in a victory against Philadelphia.

Lagasse made two crucial plays in the Eagles' victory over Cornell. One was a fumble recovery in the fourth quarter that led to an Eagle touchdown four plays later. The second was an interception late in the third quarter that resulted in another Post touchdown en route to a 25-20 victory. Lagasse also added five tackles in the game.
