WATERBURY, Conn (August 2, 2011) Construction of Post University's new synthetic turf field is moving along in its progression to hosting its first game during the fall season. The field will host men's and women's soccer, women's lacrosse, sprint football, and softball.
The sub-grade for the field has been established and now contractors are beginning to construct the concrete boarder that will serve as the boundary of the synthetic turf surface. Some concrete has already been poured, while concrete forms are being installed around the field's edges.
Ready to be installed are the drainage pipes that will aid in having a quick drying playing surface. The drainage materials are on site awaiting the next phase of the project.
