WATERBURY, Conn (July 26, 2011) Contractor HI Stone has continued to make progress on construction of Post University's resurfaced LaMoy Field. Post University is installing synthetic field turf on what was once a natural grass field. It will play host to men's and women's soccer, women's lacrosse, sprint football, and softball.

The final loads of the old topsoil are being removed as the final sub-grade is established. Trucks are beginning to transport stone onto the property that will sit below the playing surface. The 10” layer of stone provides a solid base to install synthetic turf on top of.

Stone will be placed on top of a membrane material that allows water to easily pass through and disperse underground creating a playing surface that dries extremely efficiently.
