Men's Soccer Hosts Caldwell Monday in CACC Tournament Game

WATERBURY, Conn (October 28, 2011) Post University's (9-3-4, 8-2-1 CACC) men's soccer team enters the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference as the No. 1 seed and will host No. 8 Caldwell (7-8-2, 4-6-1 CACC) Monday afternoon in Waterbury.

“We are very excited to be the No. 1 seed and host a post-season game at our new field,” said Ted Haley, Eagles Head Coach. “We understand that there is no tomorrow if we do not come out and perform. As a team we are looking forward to a great week that will hopefully culminate in another CACC Championship and a possible NCAA berth.”

Post won the 2008 conference title and this season reached a new milestone when they were ranked nationally in the top-25 for two consecutive weeks. The Eagles were as high as No. 18 in the country and as high as No. 3 in the East Region. Post has maintained a spot in the East Region top-10 all season.

The next milestone the Eagles look to achieve is earning a NCAA tournament bid, which would be the first time in the history of Post University men's soccer.

Throughout the season, Post has featured a balanced scoring attack. Four players on the squad have eight points or more this season including Francis Eno (12), Hylton Davis (10), Baccielo (10), and Eltany Morais (8). Eno and Davis each have five goals.

Caldwell is led by Mosiah Whyte who is second in conference scoring with 12 goals this season. Whyte also has the fourth most points with 26 on the year.
