Post University Falls Short in Overtime against the University of Bridgeport 2-1
BRIDGEPORT, Conn (September 28, 2010) Post University fell just short on the road Tuesday against in-state rivals the University of Bridgeport 2-1. The Purple Knights were led by freshman Markus Naglestad who netted the golden goal with less than one minute to play in the first overtime.
Post University would take the lead early in the game with a header from sophmore
Francis Eno. The goal would be Eno's fourth of the season which is a team high for the Eagles. The tides would change shortly after for Post University when Naglestad would lead Bridgeport's Taylor Backhaus with a well placed ball that Backhaus would eventually help find the back of the net.
The out of conference loss will push Post University back to 2-5-1 on the season, and is the third game of the 6 game roadtrip that the Eagles are on away from LaMoy Field. They will look to bounce back on Thursday when they travel to New Jersey to take on Bloomfield College.
