Men's Basketball Falls to Bloomfield 94-69

BLOOMFIELD, NJ (February 17, 2010) Post University's Men's Basketball team lost a conference road game to Bloomfield Wednesday night 94-69. The Eagles are now 9-15, 5-8 CACC. Bloomfield improves to 18-6, 12-3 CACC.

 Post University's Trevon Hamlet scored a career-high 32 points adding 8 rebounds, while Spencer Smith netted 12. Bloomfield's Gage Daye tallied 41 points in the Deacon win.

For the opening seven minutes of competition, the game was tightly contested and was tied at nine. Multiple players contributed to the Eagles building an eight point lead over the next several minutes including Hamlet, Larry Smith, Rashamell Vereen, and Garvin McAlister

Over the final seven minutes of the half, Bloomfield went on a 27-6 run controlling the game at halftime with a 46-31 advantage.

The second half started similar to the first, with the Eagles keeping pace and not allowing Bloomfield to extend their lead much beyond 15 points. With just under 14 minutes to play the Deacons went on another 21-10 run. 

Even though the Deacons turned the ball over seven more times than the Eagles, Bloomfield out rebounded Post University 57-38 on their way to a 94-69 victory.
The Eagles will be in action again tomorrow night at Dominican.
