Wilmington Wins Over Men's Basketball 78-70

NEW CASTLE, DE (January 9, 2010) Post University's Men's Basketball team was defeated by Wilmington Saturday afternoon on the road. The loss drops the Eagles to 4-10, 0-5 CACC. Wilmington improves to 4-7, 3-1 CACC.
Jon Lucky had 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Eagles. Freshman Trevon Hamley added 15 points. Wilmington's Brandon Savage and Mike Shipman each scored 17.
For a majority of the first half, the teams traded buckets and until Wilmington started to slowly extend their lead.
Trevon Hamlet hit a jump shot with 3:17 to play in the half and the Wildcats would not let Post University score again before the break. At halftime, Wilmington led 34-26.
Wilmington came out of the locker room strong extending the lead to 15, three and a half minutes into the second half. The advantage settled around 10 points for the Wildcats until the 5:32 mark when Vernon Dupree put Wilmington up by 18. The Eagles rallied back and closed within eight, but they would not get any closer falling 78-70.
Post University Men's Basketball will be in action again on January 14th at home against Franklin Pierce.
