Bentley Tops Post University Men's Basketball 69-55

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (December 30, 2009) Post University's Men's Basketball team fell to Bentley Wednesday afternoon in game two of the ECAC Division II Holiday Classic. The Eagles now hold a 3-8 record overall. Bentley improves to 9-2.

Freshmen Trevon Hamlet and Nyheem Sanders tallied 15 points and 5 rebounds each for the Eagles. Bentley's Jason Westrol scored 23 points with 8 rebounds. 

Bentley took control of the game early on Post University struggled shooting from the floor 23.1% FG and 25.0% from long range. At halftime, Bentley had a 26 point, 45-19 advantage.

Post University would turn the corner in the second half outscoring Bentley 36-24. The Eagles field goal shooting improved to 48.4% and 40% for three point attempts. Few fouls were called in the game with both teams going to the line a combined 9 times in the second half.
Post University will return to action on January 5th at home against CACC conference contender Caldwell.
