Bentley Defeats Men's Basketball 72-61

WALTHAM, Mass (November 15, 2009) Post University's Men's Basketball team fell in the season opener to #9 Bentley Sunday. Trevon Hamlet led both teams in scoring with 20 points in his collegiate debut. 

Post University trailed by 12 at the half and outscored Bentley in the second by 2 points. The Eagles outshot their opponent in both field goals and three point buckets, but fell short in free throw shooting. The big difference came in rebounding, as Bentley had 54 to the Eagles 36.

With 2 minutes to play, the Eagles cut the led down to 5 (69-64). Spencer Smith would be the last to score for Post University in the 76-66 loss.

Jon Lucky scored 17 points with 7 rebounds, while Spencer Smith had 13 points and 4 rebounds. 

The Post University Men's Basketball team will be in action again on Novemeber 18th against Franklin Pierce.
