Holy Family Sweeps Eagles Men's and Women's Soccer

WATERBURY, Conn (October 3, 2009) The Holy Family Tigers Men's and Women's Soccer team sweep the Post University Eagles on Saturday. The Lady Eagles where scoreless in a 4-0 loss, while the Men fell 3-1.
The Women's game was first and it only took Holy Family's Lindsay Fisher 1:13 to score the eventual game winning goal as the ball skipped under keeper Liz Johnson.
The game went into halftime with a 1-0 score, but Holy Family sealed the deal in the second half scoring three goals while keeping the Eagles quiet.
In the Men's game, Holy Family's Tim Weglicki broke away going one on one with Eagles keeper Nicholas Gutbrod scoring the first goal at 8:33. It was 1-0 at halftime, but just under 10 minutes into the second half, Tim Dugan scored the eventual game winner.
Mike Semedo scored a goal with helpers from
Johan Pineda and
Hylton Davis, but it would not be enough for the Eagles to overcome Holy Family, losing the game 3-1.
Men's Soccer will play again on Tuesday night against Concordia. The Women's team will be back in action against Concordia on Wednesday.
