Box Score WATERBURY, Conn.-- On a very rainy and windy day where the game started 30 minutes late because of the weather Post University loses their fourth game of the season this time to Southern Connecticut State University, 50-7. SCSU had a big emphasis on running the ball with the conditions of the game as they were led by JohnAmaning who had 26 carries for 158 yards and two touchdowns along with two receptions for six yards and a touchdown.

HOW IT HAPPENED
On a very rainy and windy Saturday afternoon both teams battled each other and the weather until the final whistle. Southern Connecticut State University got the ball first in this one and they came out ready to play after the 30 minute weather delay as it only took them three plays on offense to get into the end zone for the first time this afternoon. John Amaning scored the touchdown for the Owls but the extra point attempt was no good so the Owls took a 6-0 lead with 13:34 left in the first quarter.
The Eagles offense got going as they got on the board after a 10 play drive that ended with quarterback
Tyler Phommachanh keeping the ball and rushing in for a six yard touchdown. The extra point attempt was successful which gave the Eagles their first lead of the game, 7-6 which would hold for the rest of the first quarter.
Unfortunately for the Eagles SCSU would end up scoring 44 unanswered points after the Eagles touchdown. During this stretch the Owls got touchdowns from Anthony Rudiman, two from Amaning, two from Jun Rivas, and Andres Perez.
The Post offense was moving the ball right before half time when Phommachanh threw a beautiful ball as he rolled out to his right and found an open receiver in
Marques Campbell in the end zone for a 30 yard touchdown but was unfortunately called back for a holding penalty and the Eagles were unable to score after that.
Adonis White and Phommachanh led the Eagles on the ground game as White had 12 carries for 53 yards and Phommachanh had 12 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown. As for the passing game the Eagles played three different quarterbacks as starter Phommachanh was 3 of 10 for 32 yards, back up
Malakai Taylor was 5 of 8 for 82 yards and an interception and third stringer
DJ Alston was 4 of 7 for 24 yards.
Anthony Johnson led the Eagles receivers with five receptions for 82 yards on the day.
The Post defense was led by
Michael Gabettie who had a total of 12 tackles and
Nyair Graham who had eight.

Football returns to action with a conference match up with Pace University at home on October 3rd at 1pm. The Eagles are 1-3 all time against Pace with a 27-19 win in their last match up on September 20,2025.
