HOW IT HAPPENED

Still searching for a goal on the season, Post entered Friday evening's matchup hungry. Proving her team's desire to fight toward the win column for the first time this season was Celina Mickevicius, scoring six seconds into the game's first power-play just one minute and 26 seconds into the first period, assisted by Kingston Golding and Lily Zohner.

Robert Morris, in their season opener, needed to prove they were just as hungry. At 2:07 in the first period, Alaina Giampietro equalized.

At 4:21 in the first period, Eagles forward Flora Pasztor added meaning to the phrase, "there's a first time for everything" as she hammered in another goal, her first at the collegiate level, and adding to Post's list of "firsts" throughout the night. Peyton Tully and Kingston Golding assisted. The next three goals belonged to the Colonials, including the second of the game for Giampietro, putting Robert Morris ahead of Post, 4-2 after about 12 minutes of play.

At 17:39, Eagles defenseman Rylie Griffiths etched her name on "the list," scoring her own first collegiate goal. Golding recorded her third assist of the night and Zohner, her second.

The Colonials took 12 shots in the first period, converting on four. The Eagles took five and converted on three.

After wrapping up an eventful first period for both teams, the Colonials went on to score three more goals in the second period, two of them coming against the Eagles' starting goalie Devyn Amundson and one against on Alex Young, who finished the latter half of the game. The Colonials tacked on another goal in the third period, ultimately besting Post, 8-3.

Senior defenseman Marley Webster played her 100th career game with Post tonight just half an hour outside her hometown of Washington, Pennsylvania with her family in attendance.

WHO'S NEXT
