SHELTON, Conn. – Coming off a 0-5 loss to the Lindenwood Lions on Friday evening, the Post Eagles attempted to bounce back Saturday afternoon, but ultimately lost, 0-7 due in part to three Lions goals in under a minute and six different Lions in the scorers' column.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Just one minute and 39 seconds into the game, Lindenwood's Renee Ng opened scoring for her team, hoping to continue the barrage of shots on goal from the previous day's game. The Lions forced Eagles goalie Alex Young to face 13 shots on goal during the first period while converting on two of them, the latter of which was done by Tatiana Blichova.
After the first period, Lindenwood outshot Post 13-7, but the second period would bring about greater trouble for Post. The Lions only took 12 shots on goal in the second period but converted on four of them. The first goal of the period again came early on, this time by Paige Cline with just two minutes and 23 seconds away. The next 12 minutes would go on to serve as calm before the storm.
At 14:52 Raquel McCormack's power-play goal opened the scoring floodgates and 29 seconds later Tatem Starlight-Yellowfly sent the puck to the back of Young's net, followed by Cline's second goal of the game at 15:49 in the period and putting the Lions up 6-0.
Freshman goalie Anna Dosenbach started the third period for the Eagles, making her collegiate debut after a switch from head coach Brandon Brown. Dosenbach faced 17 shots in the period, only allowing one goal. Lions goalie Ebba Ridderstolpe faced 15 Eagles shots throughout the entire game, earning the shutout win in Shelton.
WHO'S NEXT
The Eagles will aim to taste the win column for the first time this season when they head to Moon Township, Pennsylvania next weekend in back-to-back games at Robert Morris University. On Sept. 25 they will play at 7 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. matchup the next day. The Colonials versus Eagles matchup will serve as RMU's home opener for the season.
