The Eagles Look to Bounce Back After a Tough 7-0 Loss to SCSU

NEW HAVEN, Conn.-- Five different players scored the seven goals for Southern Connecticut State University in tonight's non-conference game as the Eagles fall to 0-2-0 to start the new season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Audrey Grzeszczak and Elsa Videhult had the Eagles only two shots on goal tonight, coming in the 32nd minute and 60th minute but we're unable to get past sophomore goalkeeper Makenzi Pastreck. Patstreck now has back to back shutouts to start the young season for the Owls.

The Eagles we're in the game for the majority of it as they went into half trailing by a score of 2-0 but ended up giving up five second half goals to ultimately lose 7-0. Five different players scored for SCSU in this one along with three players recording an assist. Frida Norret and Elizabeth Bishop each recorded two goals for the Owls. The Eagles we're out shot 29-2 in the affair. 

Aryn Nisbet started in net for the Eagles playing 62 minutes and making a season high 10 saves while allowing six goals before being relived by freshman goalkeeper Maya Gaeta who made her collegiate debut playing 28 minutes making two saves and allowing one goal.

WHO'S NEXT
The Eagles will be back in action on the road Friday September 4th at 11:00AM at Daemen University in Amherst, New York. Post is 0-1 all-time against Daemen losing a close 3-2 match on September 27th, 2025.
