WATERBURY, Conn. -- With the release of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference awards coming out just a day after the CACC Tournament Quarterfinals, Post University Men's and Women's Basketball saw two of their own receive accolades as junior guard
Ta'Quan Williams and junior forward
Alyssa Rossignol were both named to the CACC All-Conference Second Team for their respective teams as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Rossignol becomes the first player since Sha'raya Haines from the 2019-20 to 2022-23 seasons to be named to the CACC All-Conference Team in at least back-to-back years, while she was a Third Team recipient last season before her junior campaign led her to a Second Team honor. Her season came to a close last night, having averaged a team-high 16.3 points per game, while shooting 46% from the field, 27.3% from three, and 76.4% from the free-throw line. On the glass, the junior averaged 5.3 rebounds per game, having 43 steals and 32 assists, while averaging 28.2 minutes per game across her 26 games played and started.
For the first time in his career, Williams was named to an All-Conference Team, earning Second Team honors, making it the fifth straight year in which Men's Basketball has had a player make the Second Team. A career year for the junior saw him become the 15th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points, averaging a team-best 14.8 per game and racking up 3.9 rebounds per game. Williams dished out a team-high 110 assists, forcing 33 steals and blocking two shots along the way. From the field, Williams shot 44.9% overall, 36.1% from three, and 79.2% from the free-throw line as the Eagles were eliminated by Caldwell University in last night's CACC Quarterfinals matchup.
