WATERBURY, Conn. – Senior midfielder

THE BASICS
Post University 6, Georgian Court University 19
Post University (1-2, 0-2 CACC)
Georgian Court University (5-4, 2-0 CACC)
HOW IT HAPPENED
From the jump, it was all Georgian Court as they scored the first eight goals of the game all within the first 7:39 of the affair, taking an 8-0 lead, before sophomore midfielder
Caryss Kehl got the Eagles on the board with 5:10 to go, which started a stretch in which Post scored three of the next four goals to end the first and start the second quarter.
Greene, who had her team-leading three goals to give her the season lead in goals scored with nine overall, tallied the second goal of the 2-0 stretch for Post, while Noonan's first collegiate goal came in the second, cutting the deficit down to six goals, 9-3, for the Eagles. That would be the closest that Post got in the affair, as six consecutive goals lasting into the third quarter would be the dagger for the Lions, who ran away with the 13-goal victory, 19-6.
Junior attacker Gabrielle Battle led Georgian Court's offense with seven points, scoring five goals and adding two assists, while freshman midfielder Erynn Richey was right behind her with five points via her three goals and two assists, followed by three more Lions with four-point showings. In net, senior goalie Natalie Moradian and sophomore goalie Mary Costello split each half, with Moradian picking up the win for playing the first half, as both goalies finished with identical numbers, allowing three goals each, and making two saves.
Freshman goalie
Katheryn Sousa made four saves for Post, falling to 1-2 in goal to start her career. Defensively, three different players for the Eagles had two caused turnovers, as the team combined for eight overall, while Kehl led in ground balls with four. Post won the turnover battle by a 14-12 margin, picking up only two fewer ground balls than Georgian Court, 13-11.
