WATERBURY, Conn. -- With spring sports getting underway, the awards continued to roll in for Post University on Monday afternoon as senior attacker Ryan Denike led the charge for Post University Men's Lacrosse with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honor along with sophomore midfielder Charlie Foster who was named CACC Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Sophomore goalie Liam McCurry for the lacrosse program, sophomore outfielder Jayren Foster from Post University Baseball, and graduate forward Derrick Thomas II from Post University Men's Basketball were all named to the CACC Honor Roll. 

Ryan Denike - CACC Player of the Week - Men's Lacrosse
Denike started off his final season with Post in a big way, scoring three goals and adding two assists for a total of five points for the Eagles in their first game of the season against AIC on the road. Denike's performance helped lead Post to a 14-6 victory over the Yellow Jackets.

Charlie Foster - CACC Defensive Player of the Week - Men's Lacrosse
Foster did a little bit of everything defensively for Post, leading the team in ground balls with eight against AIC in the lone game of the week for the Eagles, in addition to going 13-for-19 in the faceoff dot to help Post start the season off with a 14-6 win over the Yellow Jackets.

Liam McCurry - Honor Roll - Men's Lacrosse
McCurry started off the 2026 campaign with a strong performance in net for Post in their 14-6 road victory over AIC this past week. McCurry was solid in the net, making 12 saves and allowing only six goals for a 66.7 save percentage and 6.00 goals-against average for Post. .

Jayren Foster - CACC Honor Roll - Baseball
Foster led the Post offense during their Myrtle Beach trip this week as the Eagles went 3-2 in South Carolina with wins over Mercy University, Southern Connecticut State University, and D'Youville University. Foster finished the trip going 10-for-21, hitting .476 overall with four doubles and seven RBIs while also having six runs scored, two walks, and a stolen base as the Post offense scored a combined 30 runs in less than 24 hours with their final two wins against the Owls and Saints.

Derrick Thomas II - Honor Roll - Men's Basketball
Thomas II led Post to a 1-1 week, which included a 73-point second half against Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday in a 99-92 comeback win for the Eagles. Thomas II scored 30 points against the Lightning on 12-for-23 shooting as part of a week in which he averaged 22 points and five rebounds, while also grabbing two steals. Thomas II was 18-for-38 (47.4%) from the floor overall, making 7-of-8 free throws along the way.
