HOW IT HAPPENED
Farberman struck first for the Eagles less than four minutes into the game with the help of freshman forward
Anna Brannare, getting Post ahead by one early on against sophomore goalie McKenna Dans, who got the start in net for Saint Michael's College. But the lead was short-lived as sophomore forward Brianna Jarvis tied it up against Young with under seven minutes left in a first period that saw the Purple Knights outshoot the Eagles, 13-11.
Jarvis would go on to take the team lead in goals with her second of the game and fourth on the season in the second period, giving Saint Michael's their first lead, 2-1, with 16:07 left in the frame. Only 1:59 later, it was Farberman's turn to score her second goal, tying it back up at two all, as Hoen and freshman defenseman
Lily Zohner each earned assists on the goal. Hoen's assist was the start of her three-point day as she would assist on Zohner's go-ahead goal in the second, then score her second goal of the weekend in the third to round out her five-point effort across the two games.
Both Zohner and Hoen recorded multi-point performances for the Eagles, with Hoen's one goal and two assists, while Zohner had a goal and an assist. On the Saint Michael's side, Jarvis closed with two points on her two goals as the Purple Knights dropped their 20th straight game, 4-2. Freshman forward
Peyton Tully picked up her first collegiate assist on Zohner's second period as well, while Young recorded the win in goal with 33 saves, rounding out a 2-0-0 weekend for Post.
