WINCHENDON, Mass. – Four unanswered goals for Franklin Pierce University in the third period would be the undoing for Post University Women's Ice Hockey to close out the weekend, as the Eagles' two-goal lead evaporated on Saturday night on the road. Behind two power-play goals and the game-winner by sophomore forward Bo Dean, the Ravens would sweep the weekend series with a 4-2 come-from-behind victory over the Eagles, taking three of the four games in the season series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore goalie Rylee Eno got the start in net for Franklin Pierce, going up against senior goalie
Hannah Saunders in the first-ever matchup between the two goalies. She would be up to the challenge, as would Saunders, in a first period that, despite being scoreless, featured 31 combined shots on goal from the two sides.
Post would hold an 18-13 advantage in shots on goal, while also having three power plays in which they were unable to convert. Eno made 12 saves across the three man-up advantages for the Eagles, including six on the penalty issued to junior forward Emma Laroche with 5:27 left in the period. On the lone power play of the first for the Ravens, Saunders faced just two shots, while the defense blocked two shots.
Breaking a drought of four straight periods without a goal, junior forward
Jodie Rose would score one of the most impressive goals of the season for the Eagles with 15:10 left in the second. With the assistance of senior forward
Tymmarie Grom and freshman forward
Georgia Stevens, Rose tripped over a sprawling Eno, managing to keep her stick on the puck and shoot it by her right side for the first goal of the evening by Post.
Just under four minutes later, senior forward
Rylee Patfield tied her career high for single-season goals, netting her third of the season just past a diving Eno as freshman defenseman
Lily Zohner and senior forward
Tristan Currie each picked up assists on the score. Leading 2-0 after two periods of play, Post tagged Eno with 15 shots on goal while the Raven offense was only able to muster up seven against Saunders, all of which were stopped.
After being 2-for-2 heading into the third and 8-for-8 on the penalty kill on the weekend, the penalties would catch up to the Eagles in the third, as two of the four goals for the Ravens would come on a man-up advantage. While Laroche cut the deficit down to one just about five minutes into the third, an interference penalty to Rose near the halfway point of the frame would lead to the game-tying goal by freshman defenseman Melanie Targosz, and junior forward
Jet Devlin's tripping penalty led to the go-ahead goal from Dean less than three minutes after that.
Two power play chances for the Eagles would not yield them any goals in the final frame, finishing the weekend 0-for-13 on the power play as freshman forward Addison Andre sealed the second straight victory of the weekend for the Ravens with her empty net goal with 1:13 left in regulation, giving Franklin Pierce the 4-2 win on home ice.
