ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Junior forward
Celena Mickevicius netted her first goal of the season in the second period for Post University Women's Ice Hockey, but a four-goal second and a three-goal third period for RIT would sink the Eagles for their fourth consecutive game to start the season as the Tigers swept the weekend series with an 8-1 win on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore forward Kailey Favro started the scoring for RIT in the first period with the help of both freshman forward Tilli Keranen and junior defenseman Emma Pickering for the power-play goal, the first of six on the afternoon for the Tigers. RIT had nine power-play opportunities in the game, converting on each of their first five between the first and second periods, before converting on their ninth and final one in the third. forward
Only one goal would be scored at even strength in the first of Keranen's two goals in the third period as part of a run in which RIT scored five unanswered goals. Junior foward
Celena Mickevicius briefly cut into Post's deficit in the second, making it a 3-1 game with just over six minutes remaining in the frame, but less than 30 seconds later, freshman forward Cassie Barnes netted her first collegiate goal to up the lead back to three for the Tigers.
The Eagles were held without a shot on goal in the first period before making sophomore goalie Brenna McNamara make eight saves the rest of the game on nine total shots. Sophomore goalie
Devyn Amundson started the game, playing for 34 1/2 minutes and making 23 saves while allowing five goals before being lifted for freshman goalie
Alex Young, who made her first collegiate appearance for the final 25 1/2 minutes, allowing three goals and making 23 saves.
RIT saw seven different players score a goal, with Keranen and Pickering each having a three-point game via two goals and an assist from Keranen and three assists from Pickering. Junior forward Addie Alvarez was the only other multi-point player for the Tigers with a goal and an assist in the 8-1 win.
