PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Freshman defender
Pedro Vercosa netted his first collegiate goal for Post University Men's Soccer in their 2025 conference opener on the road against Jefferson University, holding off the Rams for their first win of the season, 1-0, while pushing their unbeaten streak to six consecutive games. The Eagles have now won seven consecutive games against Jefferson, all of which have been by way of a shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior goalkeeper
Leopold Dufaut faced six shots from Jefferson, two in the first half and four in the second half, making all six saves to earn his second shutout win in two seasons with the Eagles. Dufaut is now 1-0-3 in net for Post, playing in all 360 possible minutes while allowing just three goals and making 24 saves on 27 total shot attempts by opponents.
The lone goal of the affair came in the 70th minute from Vercosa on the feed from graduate midfielder
Sami Charaf Amal, who beat freshman goalkeeper JR Sexton on the top left side. Sexton finished the match, making four saves in the net for the Rams in the loss, which dropped Jefferson to 2-3-0 on the young season.
Post was outshot 11-7 overall in the match, including 7-3 in the second half, but shots on goal only favored Jefferson by a slim 6-5 margin. An aggressive affair between both sides, eight total yellow cards were issued, five of which were for the Rams compared to only three for the Eagles, while Jefferson held an 18-10 edge in fouls overall.
