Women's Sports Place Second in 2024-25 CACC Sportsmanship Award

WATERBURY, Conn. -- With the release of the 2024-25 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Sportsmanship Award coming out on Monday, Post University Women's Sports narrowly captured the title, coming in second behind only Bloomfield College, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

The Bears averaged 17.67 points across their three eligible women's sports, with their Softball team winning the Sportsmanship Award for that particular sport. At the same time, Post University Women's Lacrosse captured their fourth Sportsmanship Award title in program history, as part of a 12.17 average in points across their six eligible sports throughout the 2024-25 school year. Last season, the Eagles placed eighth in the Sportsmanship Award standings.

The standings are determined by the total number of sportsmanship votes the institution received over the course of the fall, winter, and spring seasons in men's and women's sports, divided by the total number of male sports competed in by the institution during the three seasons. Each sport's team sportsmanship award is voted on by the league's head coaches in their respective sport. Head coaches speak with their student-athletes prior to voting to gain feedback on which opposing teams demonstrated outstanding class and character throughout the season.
