WATERBURY, Conn. – Junior defender
Paige Pipher scored her first two goals of the season for Post University Women's Lacrosse in their 2025 home opener at LaMoy Field, but the Eagles would fall to 0-2 to start their season and remain winless in conference play with an 18-4 loss to Holy Family University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior midfielder Rianna Shields led all scorers with seven goals and four assists for Holy Family University as the Tigers opened up a 4-2 lead after the first behind three goals from the Richboro, Pennsylvania native. Pipher opened up the scoring for Post, cutting their two-goal deficit in half with her first-quarter goal, while sophomore attacker
Macy Peterson netted her first collegiate score in the opening frame.
Outscoring the Eagles by an 8-0 margin in the second, the Tigers headed into the second half up by 10 goals, 12-2, as Shields headed into halftime scoring six goals while adding three assists for the visitors. Post was outshot 35-9 overall and 15-3 in shots on goal through 30 minutes while being held to no shots on goal in the second quarter.
Graduate midfielder
Jessica Krupnikoff scored her first goal as an Eagle while Pipher added her second of the game as the Eagles were unable to keep pace with the Tigers in the second half, falling 18-4. Holy Family outscored Post, 6-2, in the final two quarters as a trio of players finished with hat tricks for them.
Beyond the seven-goal day for Shields, graduate midfielder Tori Wolstenholme had four goals and two assists while senior midfielder Payton Pugh had three goals of her own. That trio of Tigers accounted for 20 of the 27 team points on the day, while Wolstenholme led all players with four caused and six draw controls.
Sophomore attacker Taina Harkins had three assists for three points on Holy Family while junior defender
Tymmarie Grom tallied three ground balls, three caused turnovers, two draw controls, and her first collegiate assist for Post.
