WATERBURY, Conn. -- This afternoon, the College Sports Communicators organization announced its Academic All-District Teams for both Men's and Women's Basketball across all three NCAA Divisions and the NAIA. Post University Men's Basketball garnered two players on the list, up from one last season, while, like last year, two from Post University Women's Basketball earned the honor.
Men's Basketball, led by Head Coach
Marc Kuntz, saw graduate forward
Derrick Thomas II make the All-District Team for the second straight year, after playing in 27 games, while graduate forward
Harrison Warnock, who played and started in all 31 games this season, made his first appearance on the team.
In the second year for Head Coach
Courtney Burns, her team saw senior guard
Jayden Burns, as well as sophomore forward
Hannah Finnerty, both named to the team for the first time in their careers, as Burns played in 28 games while making 15 starts, and Finnerty played 27 games with 14 starts
In order to qualify, student-athletes must compete in 90% of their institution's games/contests/sets played or must start in at least 66% of the games/contests/sets in addition to achieving a high-level of academic success in the classroom by achieving a grade point average (GPA) above a 3.50 for the previous semester while being in at least their second year academically.
