NORTH EASTON, Mass. – Senior forward
Maddy Noonan's first goal of the season could not have come at a better time for Post University Women's Ice Hockey as the Eagles used two power-play goals, including the third-period one from Noonan, to take down Stonehill College in the first of two road matchups this weekend, 3-2, on Friday. The win makes it two conference wins in a row for Post, who now have 16 points in the NEWHA standings, tying them with the Skyhawks for fourth place heading into Saturday's game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior forward
Noa Farberman had herself a day on offense for Post, helping assist junior forward
Jodie Rose on her first goal of the season, coming on the power play in the second period with the Eagles trailing 1-0 after senior forward Gracie Sacca opened up the scoring in the first period, beating senior goalie
Hannah Saunders, who had eight first-period saves.
Farberman would then record the first multi-point game of her career, only nine minutes later, when she netted the go-ahead goal on senior goalie Eve Stone, an unassisted goal at even strength, that would only give the Eagles the lead for about five minutes. The two sides would head into the third tied at two all as senior forward Lily Geist found the back of the net with just over three minutes left, tying things up at two all.
Both Stone and Saunders would have strong days in net in what would end in a relatively evenly matched affair. Stone, who took the loss with Noonan's power play goal coming with 4:04 remaining in regulation, stopped 26 shots, while Saunders fended off 28 shots to earn her fifth win of the year in the 3-2 win. Noonan's goal came from both freshman defenseman
Lily Zohner and sophomore defenseman
Caryss Kehl, as Zohner picked up her first collegiate assist, while Kehl tallied her fifth assist so far on the young season.
