HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore forward Jessica Jensen led the offensive attack for Goldey-Beacom, recording two goals, one in each half, for the Lightning, who put up three goals in each half against junior goalkeeper
Aryn Nisbet. Nisbet finished the match with seven saves, raising her season total to 72 saves as well as surpassing the 200-career-save mark in 29 total matches played over the course of her three seasons as an Eagle.
In total, the Lightning struck for six goals and 10 total assists as a team, with Jensen also having two assists in addition to her two goals for a total of six points offensively. Jensen was not the only multi-assist player as sophomore midfielder Tess Pearce had two assists, helping junior midfielder Jade Balon score on the first goal of the match in the 11th minute and sophomore forward Ryley Dixon score in the 49th minute.
Just before the Dixon goal, Mier would net her first of the season from junior midfielder
Audrey Cadman and freshman forward
Tatiyana Chase, striking it from the left side on freshman goalkeeper Malaika Nunziata for the score. Cadman would assist on the second goal for Post as well, with the first corner kick score for the Eagles this season following Morrison's tip into the net. For Nunziata, she would finish the match allowing two goals while making three saves, helping the Lightning to a 6-2 road win, as Post dropped to 0-9-2 on the year.
