WATERBURY, Conn. -- Sophomore forward Alyssa Rossignol was honored on Monday with her first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week award for Post University Women's Basketball while senior guard Bol Akot did the same with the CACC Defensive Player of the Week honor for Post University Men's Basketball as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Rossignol continues to dominate for the Eagles as Post took a pair of conference games this week against Felician and Georgian Court University. Rossignol finished the week averaging 20.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while adding on three assists and two steals. The sophomore shot 15-for-35 (42.9%) overall while hitting 2-of-5 (40%) of her threes and all nine free throws offensively, including a double-double against the Golden Falcons with 24 points and 10 rebounds. 

Bol Akot - Defensive Player of the Week - Men's Basketball
Akot turned in another pair of solid performances for the Eagles during a 2-0 week for Post against Felician University and Georgian Court University. Akot finished the week averaging 14 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game for Post while shooting 10-for-24 (41.7%) from the field, 3-for-7 (42.9%) from three, and 5-for-11 (45.5%) from the free throw line. The senior has finished with 10-plus points in nine consecutive games for the Eagles after recording 17 points against the Golden Falcons and 11 points versus the Lions.
