SHELTON, Conn. – The torrid stretch for senior forward
Julia Wysocki continued as the Texas native pocketed two more goals past junior goalie Jill Hertl, leading Post University Women's Ice Hockey to a dominant 3-2 win over Franklin Pierce University in the fifth game of their six-game homestand on Thursday afternoon at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton, Connecticut which also snapped a five-game winning streak for the Ravens.
With the two goals, Wysocki became the program's all-time leader in points with 46, surpassing Jenna Abeyta (2019-23) after entering the game tied at 44 points with her. Abeyta played in 91 career games across three seasons while Wysocki became the all-time leader after playing in 122 career games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Wysocki wasted no time becoming the program leader in points, scoring only 17 seconds into the game against Hertl after freshman forward linemate
Rowyn Ringor stole away the puck in the Ravens' defensive end. Ringor fed the puck in front to Wysocki whose initial shot was blocked down by Hertl before the rebound got over her shoulder to give Post a 1-0 lead.
Bookending the first frame would be Wysocki once more as a near-identical setup from Ringor led to her second goal of the afternoon. Corralling another puck in the Franklin Pierce defensive zone, Ringor threw the puck in front from behind the net and Wysocki fired it past Hertl, extending the Post lead to two goals after 20 minutes of action.
Capitalizing on an initial 5-on-3 power-play opportunity, sophomore forward
Noa Farberman scored her fourth goal of the season with the help of sophomore defenseman
Brooke Larsen and freshman defenseman
Caryss Kehl early on in the second period. The goal would come from the left to the right with Farberman in the center of the circle where she fired a low shot between the legs of Hertl, making it a three-goal game in favor of the Eagles.
While the Ravens had three power-play opportunities during the first two periods, they would be unable to get anything by junior goalie
Hannah Saunders who had 17 saves heading into the third and final period. Looking to mount a comeback, Franklin Pierce got on the board less than 3 ½ minutes into the frame as senior forward Mikayla Kelley threw the puck out to sophomore defenseman Courtney Swenson at the point.
The shot by Swenson went off an Eagle defenseman down on the ice, finding the stick of sophomore forward Emma Laroche who had space in front of Saunders and made the most of her opportunity to cut the deficit down to two, 3-1. Saunders would finish the game making 26 saves, earning her fifth victory of the season which ties her for the most single-season wins in program history for a goalie as the Ravens' comeback would fall just short, 3-2, on a last-minute goal by junior forward McKenzie Rich with Hertl pulled inside of two minutes.
