NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior midfielder
Alyssa Hebb netted her career-high third goal of the season, but the Southern Connecticut State University offense struck for four goals against Post University Women's Soccer in the first half and held them to just five total shots as the Eagles fell to 0-5-0 on the season with a 6-1 defeat against the Owls on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Two goals in about four minutes for the Owls off the feet of junior forward Nicky Leslauriers and graduate forward Alexie Rosado gave them an early 2-0 lead as Southern Connecticut had the first eight shots of the match before senior forward
Anna Eicke registered Post's first shot in the 17th minute.
Sophomore midfielder Sydney Myers netted her fourth goal of the season for the Owls in the 25th minute before junior midfielder Shi Reeves capped off the four-goal first half with a goal in the 34th minute, sending Southern Connecticut into the half with a 4-0 lead.
Post would get outshot 29-5 overall and 11-3 in shots on goal as senior defender Caileigh Driscoll and an own goal for the Eagles extended the Owl lead to 6-0 before Hebb's goal in the 83rd minute brought the match to its eventual 6-1 final score.

The Eagles are 2-19-0 in the all-time series against the Tigers and before knocking them off, 1-0, in 2022 had lost seven straight matches to them and then lost last season on the road, 2-1.
