WATERBURY, Conn. – It was a win that Post University Women's Soccer had to have to get their season going in the right direction and it was a win they would get at LaMoy Field on Tuesday afternoon against Felician University. Coming back from a pair of one-goal deficits, senior midfielder
Alyssa Hebb led the Eagles with a pair of second-half goals off the bench, including one in the final 10 minutes to propel Post past the Golden Falcons, 3-2.
It was the first win of the season for the Eagles and the first since they closed last season with a 2-1 win over Felician. The win also snapped an eight-game winless streak at home with it being the victory at LaMoy Field since September 10th, 2023, against D'Youville University and the first home conference win since September 27th, 2022, against Felician University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It would take until the 10th minute for either team to record a shot which came off the foot of junior midfielder Kailey Rappel and went wide of senior goalkeeper
Hannah Marriott who got the start today. Rappel would end up assisting on the first goal of the afternoon for the Golden Falcons in the 22nd minute which first came from junior forward Anne Noonan and made its way to junior forward Jalyn Tse for the bouncing ball that got under Marriott and into the back of the net.
For the next 13 minutes, the Eagles would generate three shots that all went wide of freshman goalkeeper Isabella Riollano before sophomore forward
Jordyn Calas' run down the right side led to a foul in the box and the first penalty kick of the day for Post. It would be graduate midfielder
Alyanna Beaudoin taking the shot and beating Riollano on her right side to tie the game heading into the half.
Taking the lead back in the second half would be Felician in the 60th minute as it was Rappel's turn to score on a backward pass from Tse outside of the box. Dancing around a defender, Rappel would fire it high into the left corner past Marriott for the go-ahead goal which only stood for five minutes before Hebb got the equalizer on yet another penalty kick for Post.
Once again, it was Calas getting taken down inside the box following a corner kick for the Eagles leading to Hebb freezing Riollano to her right while going left with the game-tying shot. With Post controlling the rest of the way in terms of possession, they would continue to get corner kick opportunities and shots from Hebb as well as sophomore defender
Taylar Gottsegen in hopes of pulling ahead.
Following a corner kick inside of 10 minutes to play, the ball would juggle around a cluster of Eagles and Golden Falcons before squirting out to the right side where Hebb stood all alone, burying the shot by Riollano to give Post the 3-2 lead which they would hold on to until the final horn, picking up their first win of the 2024 campaign.
