Dylan Heald, Jaxon Holden Named CACC Player and Defensive of the Week, Brennan Holligan Picks Up Player of the Week -- Five Total Eagles Earn Weekly Honors

WATERBURY, Conn. -- In the final week of the regular season for most of the spring sports teams, Post University Men's Lacrosse netted two CACC awards with sophomore faceoff specialist Jaxon Holden being the Defensive Player of the Week and senior attacker Dylan Heald getting Player of the Week honors. For Post University Baseball, they would see junior right-hander Brennan Holligan be named Player of the Week while graudate right-hander Joe Christiana made Honor Roll and Post University Softball's senior infielder Lily Tomasiello got named to the Honor Roll as well for the fourth time this season as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Dylan Heald - Player of the Week - Men's Lacrosse
Heald helped Post University Men's Lacrosse lock up a spot in the CACC Tournament as well as help them advance to the CACC Semifinals this past week with his pair of performances for the Eagles. In the two games played, Heald had 16 total points as he racked up 11 goals and five assists while tacking on seven ground balls and four caused turnovers for good measure. After a resounding 23-7 win over Caldwell University to lock up a home playoff game on Sunday, the Eagles would take the CACC First Round game against the University of Bridgeport, 16-13, to advance and play Wilmington University later this week.

Jaxon Holden - Defensive Player of the Week - Men's Lacrosse
Holden continued to be a threat in the circle and on the defensive end for the Eagles during their 2-0 week that saw them advance to the CACC Tournament Semifinals. Holden totaled up 19 ground balls as well as added an assist and a point in the two wins, while going 31-for-59 on faceoffs for the week.

Brennan Holligan - Pitcher of the Week - Baseball
Holligan nearly threw the second no-hitter this season for Post University Baseball in game two of their doubleheader against Holy Family University over the weekend. With the Eagles winning 3-0, Holligan went 6 1/3 innings without allowing a hit and finished the seven-inning game having gone the distance for the shutout win while giving up that lone hit, walking only one batter, and striking out eight which tied his career high.

Lily Tomasiello - Honor Roll - Softball
Tomasiello capped off her career in a big way for Post University Softball during the team's 2-2 week against St. Thomas Aquinas College and Dominican (N.Y.). Across those four games, Tomasiello hit her ninth home run of the season, tying her for the program record in that category, while driving in six runs and scoring four times herself during a 7-for-13 performance that saw her also record two doubles, a .538 average, and .571 on-base percentage.

Joe Christiana - Honor Roll - Baseball
Christiana had another stellar outing for Post University Baseball during their doubleheader sweep of Holy Family University this past week. Christiana went the full seven innings of a 13-1 win for the Eagles in which he allowed just one run on three hits while tying his career high in strikeouts with 11 and walked just one batter in the win.
