SPARKILL, N.Y. – Six different goal scorers helped pace Post University Women's Lacrosse on a rainy afternoon in Sparkill, New York as the Eagles won their second straight game behind a 7-0 run from the second to fourth quarter which helped them pull away from St. Thomas Aquinas College for a 10-4 rainy road win on Wednesday afternoon.
THE BASICS

St. Thomas Aquinas College (2-3)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman midfielders
Klara Domachowska and
Roksana Debicka continued the strong start to their first year with the Eagles, each putting one in the back of the net in the opening quarter to help Post jump ahead 2-1. Back-and-forth scoring would be the name of the game as the two sides found themselves evened up at three all following sophomore attacker Ella Entress's goal in the second before the run that solidified the win for Post.
Following Entress's goal at the 7:41 mark of the second, the Eagles would go on a 7-0 run started with a goal from senior defender
Lotanna Nwabudu followed by two more goals before the half by graduate attacker
Hailey McHenry to send Post into the halftime with a 6-3 lead.
Out of the break, Debicka and Domachowska would each net another goal themselves around a pair of goals from graduate midfielder Cara Distefano which cushioned the Eagles' lead that swelled to seven goals, 10-3, with only 6:01 remaining in regulation. Entress would net her second goal of the game against senior goalie
Lauren Bain with under three minutes left in the game, but that would be it for either side as Post secured their second straight win, 10-4, over the Spartans.
Earning her second win of the season in net was Bain who stopped nine of the 13 shots she faced in goal for Post while freshman goalie Lilah Magenheimer had 11 saves on 21 shots for St. Thomas Aquinas. The Eagles dominated the draw controls by a margin of 13-5, but on a rainy afternoon in New York, turnovers would be a big factor with each team having 29 apiece.
Awarded nine free position shots in the game, Post would score on three of them while St. Thomas Aquinas was 0-for-6. However, the Spartans would have a woman-up goal in the second quarter which was scored by graduate defender Hailey Galison.
