WATERBURY, Conn. -- It was the week of the freshmen as freshman point guard Ta'Quan Williams and freshman infielder Dario Sosa were both named CACC Rookie of the Week in this week's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Awards for Men's Basketball and Baseball respectively. This is the third time this season that Williams has won Rookie of the Week for Post University Men's Basketball and it is the second time in as many weeks that Sosa has taken home the Rookie of the Week title for Post University Baseball. Graduate outfielder DJ Caron was named to the CACC Honor Roll for the first time this week as well for Baseball as announced by the league office on Monday.

Ta'Quan Williams - Rookie of the Week - Men's Basketball
Williams led the way for Post University Men's Basketball last week as the Eagles finished 1-1 during their road trip with a close loss against Bloomfield College before taking down Goldey-Beacom College. Williams led the team in both games when it came to scoring, dropping 18 points against the Bears and then 21 points against the Lightning for a total of 39 points for the week and an average of 19.5 points per game. Williams also had three rebounds and six assists while also having red-hot shooting numbers in the form of a 12-for-29 week (41.4%) and 8-for-17 three-point range (47.1%). The freshman also added on seven free throws out of the nine he attempted.

Dario Sosa - Rookie of the Week - Baseball
Sosa flashed the leather this weekend for Post University Baseball during their three-game series against second nationally-ranked North Greenville University. Sosa made a diving play in the fifth inning of game one and doubled off the runner at first base for an inning-ending double play to help the Eagles escape trouble while also going 1-for-7 with a walk, a double, an RBI, and two runs scored with finished with a .143 average.

DJ Caron - Honor Roll  - Baseball
Caron had a hot start to his season continue for the Eagles, going 7-for-14 with two extra-base hits and a .500 average in the Eagles' three-game series against North Greenville University which is ranked second nationally in Division II Baseball. Caron led Post with those seven hits, ripping a double and belting his first home run of the season against the Crusaders while knocking in a total of six runs, scoring four times, and walking twice.
