BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The first win of Head Coach
Pat Yannarelli's coaching career at Post University could not have gone any better than it did on Saturday afternoon against D'Youville University on the road. Scoring the first eight goals of the game, the Eagles would rout the Saints, 18-6, behind another five-goal performance from junior attacker
Robbie McGrayne.

HOW IT HAPPENED
McGrayne got his scoring started early for the Eagles as he was the beneficiary on two of the first three Post goals to start the first quarter. The junior would total up four of the first eight goals that the Eagles scored in the first two quarters en route to a quick 8-0 lead before the Saints could get on the board. Before the first 30 minutes of the game were all set and done, Post had a commanding 10-2 advantage with five different goal scorers in the half.

Dylan Heald each had two goals apiece while senior midfielder
Hayden Hindman and senior midfielder
Noah Piette each added a goal of their own to go along with the four goals that McGrayne totaled up.
Keefe would start the third quarter scoring for Post, who allowed just four goals in the final 30 minutes while scoring another eight of their own, and ended up finishing his day with three goals and three assists. Hindman would put up identical numbers for the Eagles with three goals and three assists of his own while Heald had three goals and two assists.
Sophomore attacker
Ryan Denike had the hot helping hand for the team as he tied Keefe and Hindman for the team-lead in assists at three while eight different Eagles recorded a point via goal or assist in the 18-6 win.
Sophomore midfielder
Leighton Cooke was the faceoff man of the day for Post as he was 14-of-27 on the afternoon and as a team the Eagles only drew four penalties for a total of four minutes
BY THE NUMBERS
- Robbie McGrayne has been near-perfect to start the season for Post University, scoring 10 total goals so far this season on 11 total shots
- Cole George picked up his first win of the season after making 12 saves and allowing just six goals in the victory
- As a team, Post University was a perfect 19-for-19 on clear attempts while picking up 36 ground balls compared to just 23 for D'Youville
- This was only the second time Post University has taken on D'Youville as the two teams battled last season -- The Eagles are now 2-0 against the Saints and have not allowed them to score 10 or more goals in either matchup while winning by double-digit margins both times
WHO'S NEXT
Post University travels on the road for their third game of the season set to take place on Tuesday, February 20th against Franklin Pierce University at 4:00 PM. The Eagles are 1-6 all-time against the Ravens having last beat them during the 2016 season, 15-11, before losing their last four matchups. Last season when the two teams met in Waterbury, Connecticut, Franklin Pierce was victorious, 15-6.
