WORCESTER, Mass. -- Freshman forward
Rowyn Ringor continued her hot weekend for Post University Women's Ice Hockey but the Eagles would struggle defensively in the second game of a home-and-home series against Assumption University on Saturday afternoon. The Greyhounds would set a new program record for most goals scored in a game with seven, emphasized by a three-goal third period to take down Post, 7-3, as the Eagles suffered their first conference sweep of the season.

Assumption University (2-6-2, 2-3-1 NEWHA)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Seven different goal scorers would find the back of the net for the Greyhounds as they got the scoring started with goals from senior forward Kiersten Browning and sophomore forward Rachel Agerter against freshman goalie
Devyn Amundson within the first 13 minutes of the game. That would be when Ringor stopped the bleeding with a pair of power-play goals between the first and second periods to help the Eagles tie the game up at two all early on in the frame.
However, four unanswered goals between the second and third for Assumption by sophomore forward Alexa Hanrahan, freshman forward Heather Ajakie, sophomore forward Caroline Lilley, and senior Sheridan Terrazzano would be more than enough for the Greyhounds to take the game handily. Sophomore forward
Celena Mickevicius scored her second goal of the season to break the scoring streak and briefly make it a three-goal game before sophomore defenseman Lexi Kirkeby's power-play goal put Assumption back ahead by four for the eventual 7-3 win.
Picking up her second win in as many days was graduate goalie Carissa Mudrak who had 33 saves in net while Amundson, who allowed all seven goals, came up with 30 saves for the Eagles. Sophomore defenseman Teagan Vaughan led all players with three points, tallying up three assists for Assumption in the game while Ringor finished her weekend having three points after scoring three goals total.
