WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the third straight week and fifth time this year, junior libero Alyssa Groves was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week while graduate outside hitter Kristina Peric won her second Player of the Week honor for Post University Women's Volleyball and then graduate defender Felix Nassen as well as freshman forward Marc Ballart were named to the CACC Honor Roll for Post University Men's Soccer as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Alyssa Groves - Defensive Player of the Week - Women's Volleyball
Groves will have a shot to make history during the three-game homestand for the Eagles after another big week with 57 digs for Post who went 2-0 against conference opponents, Caldwell University and Chestnut Hill College. Groves averaged 7.13 digs per set and is now 70 away from tying the all-time program record in less than three seasons. The junior also had nine assists and a service ace in addition to her 57 digs which included 33 against the Griffins and 24 against the Cougars.

Kristina Peric - Player of the Week - Women's Volleyball
Peric helped extend the Eagles' winning streak to five straight matches after registering 33 kills in two matches against Caldwell University and Chestnut Hill College in a 2-0 week for Post. Peric averaged 4.13 kills per set while attacking at .379 overall for the week while adding 17 digs, three assists, and two block assists to total up a team-high 34 points. Peric had 20 kills against the Griffins in the five-set win for Post along with 17 digs after recording 13 kills in a sweep of the Cougars days earlier.

Felix Nassen - Honor Roll - Men's Soccer
Nassen helped the Eagles' defense to nearly two clean sheets this week against Dominican (N.Y) and Georgian Court University. Playing all 180 minutes in the field, Nassen and the defense allowed just one goal against the Lions in a 4-1 win while shutting out the Chargers, 2-0, earlier in the week. The Post defense allowed just 18 total shots with only six reaching net and one goal allowed overall.

Marc Ballart - Honor Roll - Men's Soccer
Ballart made the most of his 100 minutes of action for the Eagles this week, scoring two goals, adding two assists, and totaling six points as Post went 2-0-0 on the week to lock up a CACC Tournament spot. Ballart recorded both of his goals against Georgian Court University on Saturday while also tallying an assist in the 4-1 win after getting an assist four days before in a 2-0 win against Dominican (N.Y.).
