BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – When it comes to conference matches so far this season, Post University Women's Volleyball has been nearly perfect to start the year with four sweeps in their six conference wins following another 3-0 sweep, this time of Bloomfield College in their road matchup on Wednesday night. At 6-1 in conference play now, the Eagles are off to their best start since 2017 and lead the North Division by two games over the University of Bridgeport, who sits at 5-2, since they also own the tiebreaker for now from the five-set win over them at home eight days ago.

HOW IT HAPPENED
With a .406 attack percentage in tonight's match, the Eagles have made it three matches this season in which they have attacked at over .400, all of which have been sweeps against Caldwell University, Felician University, and now Bloomfield. In each of the three sets, Post would crank out a minimum of 15 kills and attacked at a game-high .500 in the second set after starting at .303 in the first set and finishing the third set with a .419 to close the sweep.
The Eagles would only trail one time in the entirety of the match and that would be at the start of the third set when the Bears won the opening point before a 4-0 run by Post gave them the lead for good. The 1-1 tie in set three would also mark the only time throughout the entire match despite the start of each set with the score tied at zero in which there would be a tie between the two sides and the Eagles regaining the lead 2-1 would mark the only lead change of the entire match outside of the first point being scored in each set.
Graduate outside hitter
Kristina Peric, who came off a CACC Player of the Week honor, showed why she received that honor last week with 13 more kills on 19 attempts for a .579 attack percentage. Peric was the only player on either team to record double-digit kills in the match and this marked the fourth straight match in which she has done so. Graduate outside hitter
Sara Enright and senior outside hitter
Caley Harper each tallied nine kills and attacked at over .300 in the win.
As for junior libero
Alyssa Groves, who was named CACC Defensive Player of the Week, she had a match-high 27 digs to bring her career total to 1,541 digs which sits her just 149 digs from being the program's all-time leader in career digs and surpassing Kerry Smith who has held the record since 2008. Senior setter
Maria Fernanda Branco also turned in a solid match for the Eagles with 28 assists in her three sets of actions, another match high, while graduate setter
Izabella Rae was the only other player with double-digit assists at 11 for the match.
On the Bloomfield side, they would finish the match with a .077 attack percentage and 11 errors which as only slightly more than the nine committed by Post, but the Bears were heavily outmatched in the service aces category allowing the Eagles to generate 10 to their one. Those 10 service aces for Post marked just the fourth time this season in which they have had 10-plus service aces in a match with the others coming against Saint Michael's College, Dominican (N.Y.), and the University of Bridgeport which were all matches that went four or more sets.
En route to the 3-0 sweep, Post won each of their three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-11, and 25-8, to earn their sixth conference win overall and second win in the last three matchups against Bloomfield. The last five times the Eagles have taken down the Bears have all come in 3-0 fashion while last year's sweep marked the first time since 2018 in which Post had won a match against them.
