HOW IT HAPPENED
Paskanik had ran at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup twice before heading into the day back in 2021 and 2022. During 2021, Paskanik ran a 28:21.01, which was a personal best for him at the time before beating that at the Golden Eagle Invitational earlier this year with a 28:16:30 and finishing 26th overall.
Last year, the senior placed 77th with a time of 31:08.90 in what was the final race for the Eagles before the CACC Championship. While the race he ran was on the same course, Paskanik was part of the NEICAAA 2024 New England Cross Country Championship which featured 14 Division I institutions.
Putting up a respectable time of 28:50.64, Paskanik finished 179th overall which was his second fastest time on the course in the three times he has run there. Central Connecticut State University won the event with a team score of 38 points while Providence College finished second with 75 points.
