HOW IT HAPPENED

After 16 minutes of intense back and forth control, the Eagles got on the board early after Aritz Uriate found the back of the net after tapping it in at the 16:32 mark thanks to a double assist first from Gentian Selimi followed by a touch from Francisco Sousa before Uriate finished off the sequence to take the initial 1-0 edge. The squads continued to fight for possession, however, neither team was able to find the back of the net.

After the break, the Wildcats were the first to get a shot on net but it was swiftly denied by Eagles' keeper Soren Jensen to keep the advantage for Post. In the remaining time, Wilmington was able to outshoot the Eagles 8-1 but Posts' defense held strong to lock in the narrow 1-0 conference win.
